i really enjoyed the first chapter of this book a whole new mind.
firstly, i've always been somewhat interested in the brain and it's workings,
so this chapter was especially enlightening and entertaining.
i like how it's written, in a sort of sarcastic, comedic way without being
overly rediculous.
i had always know the fact about the right side of the brain controling the left side of the body and vise versa,
but i liked how the author talked about it here.
it just seems more interesting i suppose because of the over-all tone of the book.
i was intrigued, as well by the fact that not only do our separate hemispheres control different parts of our body, but our personality and mindset, too. someone who is more emotional and feeling driven, is probably more likely using the right side of their brain.
while a more organized, step by step person is using their left side.
it's really awesome to learn about all these things in a class which is driven by the right said or the brain.
our creative, more open minded ways as artists play into this whole thing and it's really great to read about.
i didn't know the exact logistics of the machinery which is used to test and look at the brain, so i learned a lot about that.
over all, i am really enjoying the book and look forward to reading more of it.
