a whole new mind: chapter dos.

i found this chapter really interesting.
it's weird to think about how much our world really is changing and how right siders
are becoming more and more important and accepted.
it used to be so looked down upon to go to art school
or pursue an artistic/creative career. and now it
seems like it's more accepted and even looked up upon.

we're becoming so much more creatively driven as a people.
clothing designers, architects and web designers are so important to us as a people now.
and it was never like that twenty, even ten years ago.

now you can do what makes you happy and be successful
whereas in earlier years, in order to be successful you had to go to school for eight years
and rack in a hundred thousand to be looked up at,
now that our minds and outlooks are changing,
so too is the standard of success
many people lead happy, bountiful lives creating, instead of regurgitating facts and
percentages and formulas.

we've gone from a "baking" way of life
where everything is according to a certain recipe that you either remember or write down
to a "cooking" way of like where it's now more about flavor and
originality.
no one needs to puke up facts, but instead find ways to bend the quota and make it their own.

anyways. that's what i got from the reading this week.
